I have known Lucy for over 13 years, firstly as a student and then as a fully-fledged musician. She has played for me in a number of orchestral events and I have no doubts about her competence as a player. Lucy’s music degree from Cambridge included all aspects of music theory and composition; she was taught by an acquaintance of mine who spoke very highly of her technical and theoretical ability. While still a student Lucy assisted me in mentoring young musicians at our local Saturday morning music centre. I have no hesitation in recommending Lucy as a friendly and competent music teacher.

I have known Lucy Green for over ten years and have taught her the trumpet in various settings from the age of fourteen to her third year at university. Lucy is a talented trumpet player who has worked very hard at her playing over the years and she is endowed with the gifts of a fine tone and very well grounded technique.
Lucy is a hard-working young musician, who has an increasingly gained a clear vision of what is required in terms of the knowledge and practice methods needed to achieve high standards of performance. She has gained the knowledge and ability, observed by many, to be able to pass this knowledge on to her students and knows that it is important to teach the individual and not just the instrument.
Mrs Green has a strong and robust embouchure which underpins her playing and has studied to be able to pass on the very important physical skills needed to play a brass instrument well.
In my opinion Lucy’s teaching would greatly benefit any student, young or not so young which, along with performance and composition is now her chosen path
